Dr. Wiley J. Larson is a highly experienced leader in space-related development, operations, education and training. The program is one of the few of its kind currently being offered by a technological university in the US .
Larson served 20 years in the United States Air Force as a GPS spacecraft engineer, a spacecraft launch controller, a flight-test engineer, a spacecraft program manager and an associate professor of Astronautics. He is currently contributing to US space efforts by creating for NASA and the US Department of Defense an integrated set of 18 published books detailing “how to” design, develop, launch and operate space systems. Central to this effort, Larson is overseeing the efforts of 362 international authors and editors. Larson is also the co-founder and former president of Teaching Science and Technology, Inc. (TSTI), a Colorado Springs-based corporation devoted to education and training in astronautics, space systems, operations and technology. During the period between 1994 and 2005 he created national and international continuing education and training programs for 37 government and industry organizations.
Larson holds a Doctor of Engineering degree from Texas A & M University , with an emphasis in spacecraft and space mission design.
