Robert Lechich has a diverse background with his over twenty-five years of professional experience. In the area of information management, he has held senior level positions working with business process management systems, business intelligence and analytics, ERP, knowledge management, manufacturing execution systems, process automation and project information systems.  In addition, he has worked in many business areas including supply chain management, manufacturing, quality assurance, process engineering and facilities management to bring leading technologies, organizational change and profitability to these organizations.

Robert is currently the Operational Excellence Manager in the Biotech External Supply organization of Wyeth Pharmaceuticals focusing on contract manufacturing business process improvements. As a Certified Black Belt, he also leads several Lean Six Sigma training programs, provides mentoring to green belt candidates and is a member of the Wyeth Six Sigma Certification Board. In addition, he provides consulting on inter-organizational information systems for its contract manufacturing/supply chain operations.

He has had teaching assignments in the areas of business process management and supply chain management where he has been able to combine theory with his industry background, resulting in a rich learning experience for his graduate students.  He is also the Co-Coordinator Supply Chain Management Information Systems Program and a member of the MSIS Advisory Board at the Howe School. 

He holds a bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering and master degree in Technology Management from Stevens Institute of Technology and a certificate in Supply Chain and Logistics from Georgia Institute of Technology. Currently, he is a PhD student in Information Management at the Howe School. His research is focusing on the global deployment of pharmaceutical manufacturing networks and their impact on supply chain information systems. He holds several professional certifications including: Certified Production and Inventory Management, Certified Pharmaceutical Industry Professional, Certified Supply Chain Management Professional, and Project Management Professional.
