Milos Dostal, works in mathematical analysis and probability
Milos Dostal has had a long and productive career at Stevens and elsewhere at noted institutions in the US, Canada, Latin America, and Europe. Currently, Professor Dostal served earlier as Department Head. Before coming to Stevens, he taught first at the University of Montreal in Canada and then at the University of Strasbourg in France. Later, he was a visiting professor at the University of Recife in Brazil. Dostal is the author or co-author of 30 scholarly publications. He is the co-author of Applications to Convolution Equations, published by Springer-Verlag. After receiving his Master's in Mathematics at Charles University in Prague, he earned his Ph.D. at the Mathematical Institute of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences, following which he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at NYU.
