Linda Laird teaches cost estimation metrics

Following a distinguished career at Bell Laboratories, in which she specialized in large software projects and product management, Linda Laird now teaches online at Stevens. Since joining Stevens in 2002, Prof. Laird has focused on software estimation, measurement, reliability, and safety. She currently teaches 3 different software engineering courses and is the Director of the Software Engineering Program. She is the author of Software Measurement and Estimation, A Practical Approach, published by IEEE-Wiley in 2006. Prof. Laird received her B.S. in Computer Science from Michigan and her M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon. Her interests include participating in triathlons, creating sculptures, playing the banjo, and talking with students. She invites you to stop by her office when you are on Campus.
