Cryptographic Protocols (CS693)

Introduces security protocols, attacks, and defenses against them. Explore signature and authentication protocols, privacy, and digital rights management. Acquire knowledge of protocols for wired, wireless, and distributed networks, firewalls, and virtual private networks (VPNs). Understand the special security needs for electronic voting and electronic payments. Learn about visual crypto techniques and the differences between active and passive attacks. You will implement a project and participate in related experiments. Prerequisite: CS 668.
