Dr. Anand Santhanakrishnan is currently a Research Fellow in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in Stevens Institute of Technology. He works with Prof. Chandramouli and Prof. Subbalakshmi. His primary focus is on security in cognitive radio networks and in multi-terminal networks. His current research is on primary user emulation attacks in cognitive radio networks and on secrecy capacity and covert timing channel throughput in multi-terminal networks. He graduated with a Ph. D. from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India, where he received the Seshagiri Kaikkini medal for the best Ph. D. dissertation in . He worked in the Advanced Technologies Division in Samsung Electronics India, Bangalore, during which time he represented Samsung Electronics in 3GPP and IEEE standardization meetings and filed about 12 patents on various topics in 3GPP LTE, IEEE 802.16, IEEE 802.21, IEEE 802.11 etc. His research and teaching interests include Wireless Networking, Cognitive Radio Networks, Network Security, Wireless LAN, MAN and PAN technolgies and speacliazed topics like applied Queueing theory, Optimization, Graph Theory, Data Structures and Algorithms, Multi-media compression etc.
