Ali Zaringhalam designs & develops embedded communication systems

Ali Zaringhalam has been at Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies since 1982 where he has contributed to the design and development of state-of-the-art telecommunication systems. He holds a B.S. from Purdue University and a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, both in Physics. He conducted research in theoretical physics and published numerous technical papers before turning to Computer Science. His current areas of interest include communication protocols, multi-layer switching and network processors. He holds 2 patents with another 2 pending.
