Robert Zandoli is Vice President at MetLife. He joined MetLife April 1998.

Bob is responsible for a very complex area of IT. These responsibilities are critical to the success of MetLife. Bob is the head of the engineering organization, responsible for the engineering for the MetLife enterprise. He is responsible for all aspects of engineering mainframe and distributed systems for: infrastructure H/W and S/W, database systems, storage, network (Voice and Data), telecommunications finance, desktop, middleware, messaging, Blackberry, relocation and restack projects and Enterprise Technology Architecture.

 When he joined the company in 1998 he was responsible for the company's enterprise-wide network and distribution technology. Due to continued success his responsibilities were expanded to include the entire MetLife infrastructure domains.

Bob’s overall focus at MetLife has been on increasing efficiency and using technology to create competitive differentiation. In 2005, he led the infrastructure team in the successful integration of the $11.8B Travelers Life & Annuity business with MetLife.

Before joining MetLife, Bob was a senior executive at AIG (2 years) and at Bank of America (10 years.) At AIG, he was responsible for infrastructure engineering, support and operations. At Bank of America, Bob was responsible for the wholesale banking infrastructure operations, engineering and support and was responsible for the integration of Security Pacific wholesale operations into Bank of America.

He holds a doctorate from Pace University in computer engineering and has a MBA in finance from Baruch College.

His hobbies are: scuba diving, fishing and baseball.
