The Clinical Systems in Healthcare course will cover multiple topics including:

    • HIT to support clinical workflow and decision support
    • Trends in electronic health records and computerized physician order entry systems
    • Integrating digital imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy systems for different contexts
    •  “Best practices” for reducing barriers to clinical system adoption
    • Trends in evidence-based systems, including those that bridge clinicians & scientists
    • Patient privacy, system security, and ethical issues 

(Prerequisite or co-requisite: MIS 685 or MIS 689 or permission of the instructor)
